Our child care and early education centre in Epping is ideally located for families commuting through Lalor, Thomastown, Mill Park and Wollert. We are conveniently located in the heart of the Epping community and just a five minute drive from Epping Plaza Shopping Centre.
As you open the door to our Epping child care centre, you will be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our spacious outdoor areas which features a large yard and play equipment so children can engage all the senses. We have a thriving vegetable garden where the children help to look after it by watering the plants daily and harvesting the greens when they are ready. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
The centre kitchen is at the heart of everything we do. We provide nutritious meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements including halal meal options. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs, including music, dance, and movement classes. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Our educators and children explore our local community with excursions to nearby parks and nature reserves as well as weekly visits to the local nursing home. We are conveniently located right next to Epping Gardens Aged Car Facility where educators and children can visit the elderly to share in activities such as reading stories, integrated music sessions and playing games. Educators and children go on a regularly outing to Mantra across the road to enjoy babycinos.
We also welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests such as having the local fire brigade to talk to the children about being safe around fire, dental nurses’ visits to educate children on dental hygiene. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
