See where great beginnings start at Great Beginnings Hornsby. Our child care and early education centre in Hornsby is ideally located for families living or commuting through nearby suburbs Hornsby Heights, Waitara, Asquith, Wahroonga and Normanhurst.
Our centre is located in an industrial estate within the Hornsby region. We have prime undercover parking with plenty of allocated spots. We provide incursions and excursions within our service, a great veggie patch for all children to assist in developing fresh vegetables. We have our loved centre pet rabbit named Eddie that the children become very protective of but yet care for him just like there comforters.
We offer extra curricular activities that we offer to all aged children and a wonderful undercover outdoor environment that is split into 2 halves. Catering from our youngest to 2 years we offer a 18 an a half square meter outdoor environment and 2years to 6 years with an incredible 40 square meter outdoor environment.
Once you step into our long day care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore, learn and grow. Children love to explore and play in our all-weather play areas which feature cubby houses, slides, sandpits and endless resources for your child to engage with while learning through play. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
There’s no need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Healthy, freshly made meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
No two days at our Hornsby child care centre are the same. Your child will have access to a schedule of engaging specialised programs, including music and movement programs to further develop fundamental skills. These fun and engaging programs enhance the daily program.
Educators and children explore our local community with excursions to nearby parks and nurseries. While at the park children and educators sometimes enjoy having lunch, engage in music class, and visit local community garden. We also welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. These visits include emergency services, dental hygiene, eye tests, and school information nights.
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Great Beginnings community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
