Childcare Centre Manager - Great Beginnings Byford
“I love watching children grow and achieve things each day.”
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2013 and started working at Great Beginnings Byford in 2015. I hold a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood.
I love watching children grow, learn and achieve new things each day. As much as we teach and inspire children we also learn just as much from children as they can learn from us. I enjoy working in early learning and am passionate about providing a high-quality care environment for all children and families that walk through our doors.
All childcare centres, including our centre, use the foundation of play-based learning to guide our experiences every day. With access to a range of age-appropriate learning resources, trained educators, and new experiences among friends, we set children up to thrive in an environment that is dedicated to learning. Children develop their curiosity, problem-solving, confidence and resilience at our centre, and we carefully plan play-based learning experiences around their interests and learning goals. Over time, you will see your child develop abilities such as language, motor movement, memory, concentration, and social relationships all by partaking in these experiences - it's a truly incredible journey to witness!
Our team here at Great Beginnings Byford are all passionate educators and strive to achieve the same outcome for all children in our care, for them to feel safe, secure, nurtured and loved and to provide the best possible experience for children to achieve and learn as much as possible. We have a diverse team, who all bring different attributes, our team is also a long-standing team.
Our team understands just how important your children are to you and we ensure we take our responsibilities seriously. Most of our team hold current first aid certificates and have regular training to uphold health and safety and to ensure this practice is then followed on. My child protection statement is “I will always advocate for children’s rights, All Children deserve to feel safe, secure & supported. All children have the right to have a voice and I will support all children, families, and my team to ensure this”.
We offer a take home dinner service to families for their children that are enrolled. Parents order the meals in advance. We always value family’s feedback and often have different events during the year for families.
Building a relationship starts from the very beginning from the first time we speak. During the tour process we like to find out about your child and the needs of each individual family. Communication is a very important part; we ensure we communicate well to develop good relationships with our families. Also, please know my door is always open. We also offer orientation visits and during orientation visits families get a chance to get to know our educators and the children.
Byford is very community based and I believe we recreate this within the service. Our service has a strong sense of family and we are all one big family.
