Centre Manager - Great Beginnings Curlewis
“I want to help and watch children of the next generation succeed.”
I started my Diploma in 2015 and started working placement that year in early childhood education and care. I was lucky enough to secure a full-time position when I qualified in 2016. I commenced working at Great Beginnings Curlewis in July 2019. I hold a Diploma in Early childhood and currently
studying Bachelor of Early Years through La Trobe university, which I am halfway through. I am trained and up to date with children protection, first aid and domestic family violence. I also hold a food supervisor’s certificate and knowledgeable about children’s nutritional guidelines and their daily intake.
What inspired me to go down the part of early childhood education and care is that I want to help and watch children of the next generation succeed. Early childhood is a very rewarding sector, as it provides the opportunity to influence and shape many lives of young children and their families.
Children are unique little humans and watching their faces with they have discovered or reached a new milestone would be the most rewarding feeling in the world. Knowing that I can help be there and support a child to become the best they can is wonderful. A child’s first 5 years of their life is crucial to their learning and development, ensuring they are offered endless opportunities to scaffold on their learning and then listening to their spontaneous ideas.
