Childcare Centre Manager - Great Beginnings Kenwick
“My passion for children has led me to assist every child in their life journey by taking the time to get to know each child’s strengths, weaknesses, needs and wants.”
My passion for children has led me to assist every child in their life journey by taking the time to get to know each child’s strengths, weaknesses, needs and wants. I believe by doing this helps to create strong bonds between myself and the children, allowing them to form trust and friendship.
I hold an advanced diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I began working in early education in 2001. I have been working at Great Beginnings Kenwick since 2011 and absolutely love it. The best part of my job is the team – they are so committed and positive about their role as educators. The whole team sees their role as incredibly important, helping children establish the building blocks for a successful lifetime of learning.
We have long-serving, multicultural team members who reflect our local community. Many have been with the centre over 5 years. It’s the sort of centre where everyone knows all the children, no matter which room they are in. We are such a close-knit team it feels like one big family.
Our educators support parents every step of the way. When a new family comes to the centre we take them on a tour to introduce them to each team member, answer any questions, show them our facilities, talk about our menus, talk about child care subsidy, planning/programming, share our events calendar, and explain our strategies for helping the children settle in and try to make them feel at ease as much as possible.
I welcome you to come in and meet the friendly team. You’ll love the smell of fresh food cooking in our kitchen and happy children around our centre.
