Great Beginnings Orange

See where great beginnings start at Great Beginnings Orange. Our long day care and early learning centre provides child care in Orange that is perfect for families living or commuting through Orange and Euchareena. We’re conveniently located just across the road from FoodWorks Orange on Dalton Street. We are open from 7:00am to 6:00pm for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

Our child care centre is that extended family you love to have around, full of fun and laughter with plenty of support from the caring educators. We have great community connections with many of our families who share their skills and expertise with the children.

Spacious areas designed to inspire

As you open the door to our Orange child care centre, you will be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our adventure-filled playgrounds which feature sandpits, cubby houses, gardens, and play equipment to engage all the sense. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.

Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals.

Healthy meals freshly prepared in-house

There is no need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. Healthy, freshly made meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. The children enjoy cooking experiences with our educators and centre cook and we provide an integrated sustainability program with a vegetable garden and conscious water saving opportunities.

Community-focused early learning

No two days are the same at our Orange child care centre. Educators and children venture out on excursions to our local community visiting nearby Bletchington Public School, Bowen Primary School, parks and businesses. We host regular cultural events reflecting the diversity in our local community.

At times you may see visits from the outside community such as emergency services, the local council, dental nurse and more. Each of these visits are an extension of the children’s interests and further learning opportunities. Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
