Centre Manager - Great Beginnings Parmelia
“Children are all different, learn differently and grow differently. Every child has the right to quality education & care regardless of differences and to be treated with respect and equity at all times.”
I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2012 and started working at Great Beginnings Parmelia in 2021. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I’m also trained in Child Protection, First Aid and CPR.
I started in early education in 2012 working as a trainee educator, I have progressed throughout my career working across all centre based roles such as, assistant educator, lead educator, educational leader, assistant centre manager and centre manager. I have been a centre manager for 3 years, 2 years with G8 Education. I began working in early education as supporting children's growth and development, sharing their successes and wins and supporting them in navigating the world has always been something that has brought pure enjoyment to my life.
Children are all different, learn differently and grow differently. Every child has the right to quality education & care regardless of differences and to be treated with respect and equity at all times. Children learn and develop most in an environment in which they feel secure and in which promotes enquiry, engagement and interaction. Learning through play based experiences and social learning creates opportunities for children to explore a wide range of quality learning outcomes, overall supporting them to exceed their potential.
As an adult, we can learn a lot from children. They see the world in it's purest form and it truly is amazing to observe. I am passionate about allowing children to explore the world around us and engage in a range of experiences to further expand their knowledge. In early years education, children are taking the very first steps into their learning journey and I strongly believe that we are creating and setting children up for a successful, enriched and positive learning journey.
Learning in an early childhood education and care centre provides a wide range of benefits to children. Children are able to develop their social identities and the ability to engage and interact with other children. We provide learning experiences for children with a goal of reaching quality learning outcomes. Educators are trained in supporting children's development, and providing a quality enriched learning environment for children. Regular training is provided to educators to ensure we remain up to date with quality learning approaches.
Our team at Great Beginnings Parmelia are a team of highly passionate, experienced and qualified educators who understand the privilege of being trusted with someone else's entire world, and we as educators take this responsibility very seriously.
Our families, are our children's primary caregivers therefor they know their children best. We respect all family wishes, decisions and believe it is absolutely pivotal to work in partnership to achieve the best quality outcomes for children. Families are supported from the very first time they enquire with us, we understand that transitioning to an early learning centre, is not just a transition for the child but the family as a whole, so we do all that we possibly can to support the whole family through this.
We look forward to meeting your family!
