Great Beginnings Reservoir
Spacious areas designed to inspire
From the moment you step into our child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Our adventure-filled playgrounds include a cubby house, sandpits, vegetable garden and play equipment to engage all the senses. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor areas at our Reservoir child care centre invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they engage with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our team of experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals. Literacy and numeracy concepts are embedded in play-based learning, as children engage as architects, storytellers, scientists, artists, and designers.
Healthy meals freshly prepared in-house
There’s no need to worry about preparing lunch or snacks. We provide healthy, freshly made meals created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements including halal meal options. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices.
High-quality early learning programs
No two days are the same at our child care centre. Your child will have access to a rotating schedule of engaging specialised programs including music and movement, and yoga.
We welcome special community guests to the centre based on the children’s interests. Visits from the community include wildlife experiences, dental visits, African drumming, partnerships with local primary schools and a comprehensive transition to school program, pony rides, visits from superheroes, animal farms, chicken hatching programs, and more. Our educators and children venture out on regular excursions into the Reservoir community with visits to the library, aged care centre, Coles Reservoir, J.E. Moore Park, local café’s, Edwardes Lake Park, and more. Community connections support a sense of belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
