See where great beginnings start at Great Beginnings Speers Point. Our early education and child care centre in Speers Point is ideally located for families commuting through Lakelands, Macquarie Hills and Boolaroo. We’re a short stroll from Cockle Bay just off The Esplanade and located on Main Road conveniently close to public transport.
Great Beginnings Speers Point is a beautiful, modern child care centre with six rooms and one large natural shared play space outdoors. Our chef loves to spend time cooking with the children both in the classrooms and in the kitchen.
As soon as you step into our Speers Point child care centre, you’ll be immersed in a world where children are encouraged to explore and learn. Children love to explore and play in our modern outdoor areas which features a large yard, sandpits and water play area to engage all the senses. Children are provided time and space for uninterrupted play as they explore the outdoors to test their limits and develop strength, balance, and self-confidence. Being outside supports children’s overall health and wellbeing.
Our indoor spaces invite exploration with quality resources and learning experiences. Children wonder, create, and test out their ideas as they play with a range of materials in purposeful play spaces. Our experienced educators plan play-based learning experiences around children’s interests and learning goals.
No need to worry about packing lunches or snacks. Healthy, freshly made meals and snacks are created daily by our in-house cook, catering for all dietary requirements. Shared mealtimes between children and educators strengthen relationships, with opportunities to share stories and experiences, and model healthy eating practices. Let us treat you to coffee and a snack as part of your morning routine.
Educators and children explore our local community with excursions to nearby parks and library. We also welcome special guests and community members to the centre based on the children's interests. These visits include a monthly arts program where they create spaces for children to participate in cultural experiences, such as basket weaving. Other visits include responsible pet ownership, emergency services, dental hygiene, science exploration, mindfulness, dance and movement.
Neighbourhood connections support a sense of community and belonging for children and provide opportunities to develop social and observational skills with different people, places, and environments.
As members of our Great Beginnings community, we look forward to partnering with you to provide information, support, and high-quality education and care in your child’s formative years.
