Centre Manager - Great Beginnings Speers Point

“Each day I aim for our early learning centre to be a happy place where children and educators can laugh, play and have fun all.”

As an Early Childhood Teacher and Centre Manager, my ultimate goal of early education is to encourage educators to activate each child’s own natural desire to learn. In order for this to occur, children need to be provided with a stimulating environment, where they feel safe and are confident to express themselves freely.

I hold a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and a Diploma in Leadership and Management. I have worked in early education since 2014 and began working at Great Beginnings Speers Point at the start of 2020.

I aim to empower educators to implement an educational program and environment that reflects the children’s interests, developmental stage and individuality through play, allowing them to be active participants in their learning. When families’, educators’ and children’s perspectives, insights and information combine, everyone benefits, especially the children. Each day I aim for our early learning service to be a happy place, where children and educators can laugh, play and have fun on their journey of discovery in “learning to learn.”

When children attend an early education and child care centre, they are provided with a stimulating environment, opportunities to create relationships, build knowledge and skills, reach and exceed key milestones and have a whole team of educators cheering them on along the way. Our passionate educators ensure families feel their child is safe, secure, loved and educated when in our care.  Most of all they can learn through play!

Educators maintain a high cleanliness standard within their rooms to ensure we reduce the risk and spread of germs. This means regular documented cleaning of rooms and bathrooms. We have regular cleaners that service the centre throughout the week.

We have a series of outdoor play spaces where all children can play. Children can play indoors or out throughout the day and also gives children the opportunity to interact with siblings and peers of ranging ages. We have a great team of educators to deliver quality educational programs and support to all children and families on their learning journey.

Great Beginnings Speers Point is an educational service that provides children with a nurturing environment, with opportunities to grow and develop from a very young age right up until they begin school. Our educators provide a play-based learning approach to ensure we create curious and confident learners. We use activities within all classrooms to support children to learn, explore, discover and negotiate.

To support families with the enrolment process we provide a detailed enrolment pack, guides to complete tasks and we are available via phone and email if required to complete the enrolment process.  We offer a play and stay prior to your child commencing at the centre and allow families to remain onsite in our parent room.

A fun fact about me is that I have three boys; Jaxtyn, Bodhi and Boston, a male dog called Odin and a male Bearded Dragon called Spike!
